How We Work with You

Understanding the Project
RAS sales representatives meet with customers to discuss design ideas. We listen, and once we understand your needs, we collaborate in project development, drawing upon our photo archive of 27,000 images of installed and in situ stonework. For each customer, we create a confidential web page to facilitate the communication of digital images and design dialogue. Proactive communication by RAS means that your projects go from development to completion in a timely manner.

Design Development and Material Selection
RAS builds mock-ups of stone patterns to test designs and establish a common conceptual vocabulary. These large-scale models help our customers visualize the
final scale, texture and finish of the product. We provide “best practices” recommendations for engineering, attachment, and installation of the stone.

Value Engineering and Contractual Agreement
RAS contracts a firm price for real goods. We tailor our project design and use of materials to ensure that customers get the most for their money. In the contract drawn between RAS and the customer, precise quantities and specifications are detailed. A fifty-percent deposit finalizes the order. Then, RAS designers provide shop drawings or specifications for every face of every piece
of stone, giving size, finish, and tolerance.

Production and Quality Inspection
Stone selection determines the country of fabrication. With production complete, a rigorous RAS quality inspection ensues. When appropriate, the order is pre-assembled and digital images are posted to the customer web page for product review. We manage the crating, customs clearances, and handling logistics to ship the order from the country of origin directly to your jobsite.
